About The Position

OATS Transit is a nonprofit transportation provider serving seniors, individuals with disabilities, and the rural general public in Missouri. Drivers are assigned to a mini-van, Ford Transit, or wide-body bus and provide transportation while treating riders with respect, dignity, and courtesy. The role is hourly, non-exempt, and variable-hour. Drivers assist riders on and off the bus, maintain their assigned vehicle and equipment, and use an in-vehicle tablet to manage trip information. The position is based in Branson, Missouri, and is listed as full-time/part-time.

Requirements

Be at least 23 years of age.
Hold a Class E or CDL license with no more than four points assessed.
Pass a U.S. DOT physical and road test.
Pass drug screening and undergo random drug and alcohol testing.
Be bondable.
Be able to meet the physical demands of the active job, including sitting, walking, bending, reaching, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying.
Be able to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
Have a proactive, helpful, can-do attitude and flexibility to adjust to different schedules and routes.
Be neat and organized and able to work independently.

Computer experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Treat riders with respect, dignity, and courtesy, and assist them on and off the bus.
Safely secure wheelchairs and other mobility devices and follow applicable procedures.
Maintain the excellent condition and cleanliness of an assigned OATS vehicle and its equipment.
Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report issues requiring repairs.
Use an in-vehicle tablet to receive trip information and updates and validate pickup and drop-off times.
Complete required paperwork and submit it to the regional office in a timely manner.
Attend routine paid training.
Comply with federal, state, and company rules and regulations.
