About The Position
Challenge Enterprises of North Florida, Inc. is seeking dependable and compassionate Drivers to join our team. In this role, you will provide safe, timely, and professional transportation services for individuals participating in Life Skills Development and other agency programs. Drivers help ensure individuals can access important services, employment opportunities, and community activities while promoting safety, independence, and dignity. This position requires strong communication skills, reliability, and a commitment to providing excellent support and customer service.
Requirements
- Must pass a Federal Level II background check
- Must possess a current Florida Driver’s License with a clean 3-year driving record and/or commercial driver’s license if required
- Must meet all additional driver requirements established by governmental jurisdictions
- Must sign and adhere to a confidentiality agreement
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to work independently as needed to support overall operations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities
- Safely transport individuals to and from designated service locations and work sites
- Provide transportation for individuals attending Life Skills programs
- Assist with door-to-door transportation when required
- Remain flexible with route deviations and scheduling adjustments
- Ensure a safe, positive, and supportive transportation experience for all passengers
- Follow all wheelchair lift and vehicle safety procedures
- Assist individuals with mobility limitations entering and exiting vehicles
- Monitor passenger safety during transportation
- Report passenger concerns or incidents to supervisors promptly
- Inspect vehicles before leaving on assigned routes
- Complete daily vehicle logs and required documentation
- Report vehicle issues according to agency policy
- Follow the agency operations manual and transportation procedures
- Maintain professional and respectful communication with managers, supervisors, and individuals served
- Follow all agency confidentiality guidelines and policies
- Adhere to all Challenge Enterprises of North Florida, Inc. policies and procedures outlined in the Personnel Handbook
