About The Position
Wallenius Wilhelmsen's Lafayette, IN location is seeking a part-time Vehicle Driver. This role offers a flexible schedule, allowing you to choose days and shifts that fit your availability, with shifts available Monday through Friday during the following times: 6am-10am, 11am-2pm, or 8pm/9pm-1am. The maximum hours are 8 per day and 24 per week, with a minimum requirement of 12 hours per month. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about new cars and interested in working with the latest technology.
Requirements
- A clean driving record and valid driver's license, along with an excellent work history.
- Resilience to work in all weather conditions; extreme hot and cold, rain, snow, etc.
- Skill and confidence in maneuvering both standard and automatic vehicles into tight spots.
- Strong communication skills to follow instructions and maintain yard flow process.
- Physical stamina to keep you active throughout the day.
Responsibilities
- Park vehicles in neat rows, using parking guidelines to safeguard vehicles.
- Conduct regular inspections, battery tests, and charging operations to ensure the safety and performance of vehicles.
- Use hand-held technology to scan vehicles into our tracking system and locate them across the property site.
- Conduct weekly inventory and report any issues or discrepancies.
