About The Position

R+L Carriers is hiring a Driver Yard Person at its Kearny, New Jersey Service Center. The role involves unloading and loading trailers and moving trailers around the yard using a hostler. The position pays $29.51 per hour and is full-time, Monday through Friday, with various shifts. Paid time off is available after the first 90 calendar days of employment.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience within the past 3 years.
• Ability to bend, lift, and stoop without difficulty.
• Ability to read manifests.
• Ability to read and interact with a computer display.

Nice To Haves

• Previous forklift experience in a fast-paced LTL environment.
• Previous yard hostling experience in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Unload and load trailers.
• Hostler trailers on the yard.
