About The Position
The Driver/Warehouse employee joins the Warehouse team and helps receive and post retail and stock orders while learning diesel parts. The role also delivers parts directly to customers. Duties include verifying shipments, recording shipment information, managing core parts procedures, preparing and routing materials for shipment, resolving shipment discrepancies, and performing Body Shop tasks such as painting, maintaining shop equipment, and cleaning. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- High school graduate or GED.
- Valid driver’s license with no restrictions and a clean driving record.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience with controlled inventory systems and shipping/receiving is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Examine shipment contents and compare them with manifests, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy.
- Record shipment data, including weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping.
- Manage core parts procedures.
- Deliver parts as needed, including directly to customers.
- Confer or correspond with establishment representatives to resolve damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications.
- Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to materials for shipping using hand tools, power tools, or a postage meter.
- Deliver or route materials to departments using a hand truck, conveyor, or sorting bins.
- Perform Body Shop duties, including painting, maintaining shop equipment, and cleaning.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
