About The Position

Republic, a nationally recognized, third generation enterprise headquartered in the Quad Cities has an immediate opening for a full-time delivery driver/warehouse employee at our Appleton, WI location. Republic is one of the largest independent distributors of electrical, heating, air conditioning, energy management, refrigeration and sign support products in the entire Midwest. In addition to the headquarters in Davenport, IA, Republic has branches located in Dubuque Iowa, Cedar Rapids Iowa, Des Moines Iowa, and Peoria Illinois. Our Driver-Warehouse position supports warehouse activities as well as performing customer deliveries. So your typical responsibilities may include but are not limited to: -Run a delivery route for delivering customer orders. This may include pulling the equipment and parts for your orders, loading and unloading your orders on to the truck, Building your manifest (your plan or schedule of your route), contacting customers, Confirming order details, providing proof of delivery, etc. -Receiving shipments, confirming quantities and inspecting shipments for damage -Completing or assisting with receiving paperwork and transfer paperwork as required -Putting away product and following standard warehouse procedures like First-In-First-out Inventory practices -Occasional cycle counts and assisting other departments with inventory questions. -We're one team and this is a new branch so we need to jump in where we can. (It keeps the job interesting!) There are some days where you will mostly drive, but there may be other times where you are needed in the warehouse. -There may be other things that come up so additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record.
Good customer service skills
Energetic
Attention to detail
Technology proficient - able to use Microsoft products and delivery scanners and tablets
Physically able to squat, bend and lift over 25-50 lbs. frequently
Pass a D.O.T. physical
Able to pass a drug screen

Nice To Haves

CDL preferred; not required
