About The Position

This role involves making scheduled parts delivery runs, picking up and delivering materials, and maintaining company vehicles. The position requires operating vehicles safely and legally, complying with traffic laws, and upholding Empire's Integrity and Ethical Standards. Responsibilities include maintaining assigned vehicles, making scheduled parts runs, operating forklifts and stocker pickers, and maintaining necessary safety training certificates. The role also involves customer interaction, such as notifying them of backorders or overdue parts, receiving returns, and assisting Will Call customers. Additional duties include data input, completing a DOT physical, working towards a Class A Commercial Driver's License, answering phone calls, and promoting corporate values. The job requires strong interpersonal skills, basic math abilities, and the capacity to operate vehicles and material handling equipment safely. Consistent attendance is necessary. A high school diploma or GED is required, along with English communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Make all parts delivery runs as scheduled
  • Pick up and deliver material as necessary
  • Maintain and operate delivery vehicles in a safe and considerate manner
  • Comply with all traffic laws and regulations
  • Maintain assigned company vehicle(s) including pre and post inspection reports
  • Make scheduled parts runs and deliver all items to their proper destinations
  • Operate vehicles in a safe and legal manner
  • Make pickups at various locations as assigned by the Shipping Leadperson
  • Operate forklifts and stocker picker
  • Maintain state and federal training certificates for mine safety and be site specific trained
  • Notify customer when any critical backorders arrive
  • Distribute parts to customers
  • Notify customer of overdue parts in Will Call
  • Receive credit return parts from customers
  • Receive Exchange cores from customer
  • Maintain Will Call areas
  • Pull customer orders as needed
  • Assist and sign out Will Call customers
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
  • Work safely at all times
  • Adhere to all applicable safety policies
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures and standards
  • Input data and parts information
  • Complete and pass the DOT physical
  • Work towards getting a Class A Commercial Drivers License
  • Answer and direct phone calls in the Will Call and Parts Sales area
