Driver/ Warehouse Labor
About The Position
The Driver / Warehouse Laborer supports daily warehouse operations, transports materials and equipment to and from jobsites as needed, maintains inventory accuracy, and helps keep the warehouse organized, clean, and efficient. The role includes operating company trucks and vehicles, organizing and moving inventory, maintaining records, and performing general labor at project sites. Emergency deliveries or after-hours material requests may also be required when needed. Traffic Safety Supplies serves Virginia and Maryland with traffic safety equipment, work zone materials, personal safety gear, signage, sign manufacturing, and equipment repair services. It is part of Helix Traffic Solutions, a national family of specialized operating companies providing traffic control, work zone safety, and roadway infrastructure services across the United States.
Requirements
- Valid Virginia driver's license with a DOT card.
- Comfortable driving a 20-foot flatbed truck.
- Experience operating a forklift.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Experience with warehouse organization and logistics.
- Able to safely lift, carry, push, and/or pull materials weighing up to 80 lbs. as part of regular job duties.
- Able to stand and remain on feet for extended periods throughout the work shift while performing job tasks.
- Able to sit for extended periods while operating a forklift.
- Dependable and safety-conscious, and comfortable performing physical labor.
- Team player who takes pride in their work and has a strong work ethic.
Nice To Haves
- Previous warehouse, construction, delivery, or material handling experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company trucks and vehicles to transport materials and supplies to and from job sites when needed.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, receipts, and vehicle inspection reports.
- Organize and maintain warehouse inventory, shelving, and storage areas.
- Move materials throughout the warehouse and yard safely.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and yard.
- Perform general labor duties assigned on project sites.
- Support emergency deliveries or after-hours material requests when needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
