Driver/Warehouse Associate - Knightdale, NC
About The Position
The Driver/Warehouse Associate supports the day-to-day delivery and warehouse operations of Mygrant Glass. The role makes prompt, courteous, safe, and timely deliveries of customer orders, assists customers with will-call pickups, and performs general warehouse and customer-assistance duties as needed. Responsibilities also include receiving, inspecting, processing, and stocking inventory; preparing and loading orders; keeping the branch clean and organized; and completing delivery documentation and related data entry. The position is nonexempt and reports to the Branch Manager. The schedule is Monday through Friday on day shift, with rotating Saturdays.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) check.
- Three to five years of driving and delivery experience.
- Ability to safely and competently operate forklifts, reach trucks, and pickers.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to be organized, detail-oriented, accurate, and adaptable in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team and take direction in changing working conditions.
- Ability to lift and exert force as described in the physical demands, including handling glass.
Responsibilities
- Unload inventory from incoming vehicles and inspect it for damage.
- Process and stock inventory, pick the correct products and quantities for orders, and receive and process returned stock.
- Load glass racks and delivery trucks; clean glass, assess stock for damage, and affix proper labels.
- Follow delivery routes and schedules to deliver products and receive returns on time.
- Safely operate the delivery vehicle.
- Process and record payments and enter data into the ordering system.
- Complete logs and other delivery documentation.
- Break down boxes, stock accessories, and organize inventory as directed.
- Interact with and assist customers during deliveries and at will-call pickups.
- Help maintain the appearance of the branch and clean the warehouse, counter area, and other workspaces.
- Perform other assigned job tasks.
