About The Position

The Driver Warehouse Associate represents Baker Distributing and supports company operations and customer satisfaction by safely and efficiently delivering products while providing professional customer service. The role involves daily transportation of HVAC goods and materials from wholesale HVAC distributorships to customers, vendors, or other Sales Center locations, as well as warehouse duties between deliveries. The position includes loading and unloading products, assisting with inventory and order fulfillment, and operating warehouse equipment while following company safety procedures.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED; equivalent experience may be considered.
Minimum of 1 year of truck driving experience.
Box truck delivery experience.
DOT medical certificate required prior to employment.
Ability to meet DOT physical qualification standards, with reasonable accommodations.
Strong interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service, problem-solving, and relationship-building.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment; reasonable accommodations will be provided as needed.
Demonstrated interest in continuous learning, mentoring, and leadership.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar productivity tools; assistive technologies may be used.

Visual acuity to read labels, inspect equipment, monitor inventory, and operate machinery.
Valid driver's license if driving is an essential function of the role.

Responsibilities

Represent Baker Distributing Company as a leader in the industry.
Load and unload products in the truck for delivery to customers or other Sales Centers.
Collect invoices with proper signatures and return them to the Sales Center Manager.
Assist with warehouse inventory counts, picking orders, and verifying orders.
Complete daily truck maintenance checklists and report in/out times and merchandise returns.
Adhere to company safety protocols and procedures, use required personal protective equipment, and promptly report safety hazards or incidents to management.
Participate in regular safety training sessions and drills.
Handle and store products properly to prevent accidents and injuries.
Follow guidelines for safe operation of the truck and warehouse equipment.
Maintain a clean and organized truck and workspace.
Conduct loading and unloading safely using proper techniques and equipment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
