We have an immediate opening for a full-time experienced fuel tanker Truck & Trailer Driver for the Night Shift for Hermiston/Pasco. Requirements

  • Must have Class A with HazMat endorsement.
  • D.O.T medical certificate, and ability to obtain a TWIC card.
  • Two (2) years of CDL experience required, preferably tanker experience.
  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and smell.
  • Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, pull up to 40 pounds, overhead lifting up to 40 pounds, maintain balance at heights of up to 20 feet, and withstand road shocks and moderate vibrations associated with driving a commercial vehicle.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Employer will conduct background check, drug screen, and driving record check.

Responsibilities

  • Pull fuel product from suppliers and terminals and transports to customers.
  • Make skillful and timely decisions regarding road conditions and any other external factors to safely and efficiently deliver product and interact in city and highway traffic.
  • Maintain equipment, including conducting pre/post inspections on trucks, hoses, and other equipment.
  • Load and unload, handling, hooking, and unhooking hoses; operate pumps and valves, both on and off the truck; fill tanks of all types and sizes using various size hoses, nozzles, and fittings, pipe wrenches, crescent wrenches, hammers, and other hand tools.
  • Complete driver logs, pre- and post-trip forms, invoices, and other paperwork as required.
  • Follow Department of Transportation safety standards and environmental safety requirements.
  • Maintain communication with dispatchers and immediate manager.
  • Provide exceptional customer service in all facets of interaction.
