About The Position

Springbrook Behavioral Health has an opening for a Transporter to transport patients and residents safely for medical appointments and other outings. This role requires flexible scheduling and availability. When not transporting patients, the individual must be willing to work on the unit as a Mental Health Assistant.

Requirements

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must have a valid SC driver’s license with no restrictions.
Must demonstrate excellent customer service and hospitality.
Must demonstrate trustworthiness and dependability.
Must understand patient rights and comply with Springbrook policies.
Displays integrity and professionalism at all times.
Must always be in proper attire and well groomed.

Nice To Haves

Experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Delivers transportation services in a pleasant manner for the residents and patients.
Transport patients/residents safely and timely to appointments.
Assist patients/residents with boarding and de-boarding vehicle especially those with special needs.
Demonstrates safe driving techniques to protect patients/residents.
Tracks mileage in vehicle log.
Maintain receipts for vehicle expenses.
Responds proactively to prevent patient/resident injuries during transporting.
Keeps vehicle’s interior and exterior clean and safe.
Represent Springbrook in a professional manner during appointments and outings.
Willing to work on the unit as a Mental Health Assistant when not transporting patients.
