About The Position
Gordon Food Service is hiring a local Commercial Truck Driver Trainee. This is an active, full-time employee position where you will earn a full wage while completing behind-the-wheel CDL-A training alongside experienced drivers. You will deliver food products to restaurants, schools, hospitals, and universities, learning specialized route delivery while completing your licensure.
Requirements
- At least 21 years of age
- CDL A Permit required
- Ability to operate a two-wheel cart with loads of up to 350 pounds
- Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage (including marijuana) and a background check
- Must be registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent in order to be considered for employment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver food products to restaurants, schools, hospitals, and universities.
- Learn specialized route delivery while completing licensure.
