About The Position

This role involves driving a truck to various destinations, maintaining accurate truck logs according to regulations, and communicating with supervisors for delivery instructions. The driver is responsible for loading and unloading the truck, cleaning compartments to prevent contamination, and performing regular inspections and maintenance on the vehicle. Additionally, the driver may assist with operational duties at the location and Feed Mill as needed and is expected to maintain a clean truck to represent Peco Foods, Inc. positively.

Requirements

• Maintain a valid Class A CDL Commercial Driver's License with proper endorsements and commercial insurability at all times.
• Valid DOT is also required.

Responsibilities

• Drives truck to destination.
• Maintains truck log, according to state and federal regulations.
• Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
• Loads and unloads truck.
• Cleans compartment after unloading as necessary to avoid contamination.
• Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
• Performs routine maintenance on vehicle, including but not limited to, daily pre and post trip inspections.
• Assist location and Feed Mill Operator with operational duties, as time allows, ensuring an efficient production schedule.
• Ensure trucks promote a positive image of Peco Foods, Inc. by keeping the interiors and exteriors clean as conditions allow.
