About The Position

Imperial Brady is hiring a Driver (Straight Truck)/Class B Delivery Driver in North Charleston to support its transportation group. The driver is responsible for completing a daily route of stops, delivering products, and providing exceptional customer service. Deliveries involve unloading merchandise by hand, using a manual pallet jack and dolly, and placing it at the customer-designated location. The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 6:00 a.m. until finished.

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver's license.
• Ability to pass a DOT Medical Exam.
• Good driving record.
• One year of recent CDL B experience.
• One year of route delivery experience.
• One year of manual pallet jack and hand truck experience.
• Lift gate experience.
• Ability to lift 50 or more pounds comfortably and unassisted.
• Strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a 24-foot box truck with a gross vehicle weight of 26,000 pounds.
• Load and unload cargo by hand and with a manual pallet jack and lift gate.
• Track and document activity in the required log.
• Report issues or incidents to dispatch.
• Inspect the truck before and after each trip.
• Communicate with customers in an outgoing, positive manner.
• Complete a daily route of stops and deliver merchandise to customer-designated locations.
