About The Position

Imperial Dade is hiring a Driver (Straight Truck)/Class B Delivery Driver in Franklin, Massachusetts. The driver is responsible for a daily route of stops, delivering merchandise to customer-designated locations, and providing exceptional customer service. Deliveries involve unloading products by hand and using a manual pallet jack, dolly, and lift gate. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., or until the route is finished. The hourly rate is $28.93, with an additional $1.25 for a HAZMAT endorsement and a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Requirements

Valid commercial driver's license.
Ability to pass a DOT medical exam.
Good driving record.
One year of recent Class B CDL experience.
One year of route delivery experience.
One year of manual pallet jack and hand truck experience.
Lift gate experience.
Ability to handle the physical workload, including lifting 50 or more pounds comfortably and unassisted.
Strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a 24-foot box truck with a gross vehicle weight of 26,000 pounds.
Load and unload cargo by hand and with a manual pallet jack and lift gate.
Track and document activity in the activity log.
Report issues or incidents to dispatch.
Inspect the truck before and after each trip.
Communicate with customers in an outgoing, positive manner.
Deliver merchandise to customer-designated locations and provide exceptional customer service.
