About The Position

Assist Ambulance is seeking an experienced Driver Safety Trainer to join our team! This role involves conducting driver evaluations, training sessions for candidates, new hires, and annual refreshers, as well as reviewing driving records for infractions and accidents. The trainer will also be responsible for coaching and counseling drivers and crewmembers on driving-related issues and completing all necessary documentation. Duties are subject to change and are not limited to those listed.

Requirements

• Must be available Mon-Fri 9a-5p
• Must have a valid driver's license from New York, D-class or above, with an acceptable driving abstract/record
• Must have experience training drivers, commercial preferred, but not required
• Must have experience professionally coaching and counseling drivers on driving/passenger infractions and accidents
• Must have comfortability using digital data systems for human resource management and automatic vehicle tracking, such as Lytx, Samsara or Motiv
• Must have comfortability writing reports and corresponding via email

Nice To Haves

• Ideal candidate has a valid EMT certificate in New York State

Responsibilities

• Conducting driver evaluations as needed
• Conducting training class with candidates for employment, new hires and annually, and complete all associated documentation
• Reviewing ambulette driving for infractions and accidents
• Conducting coaching and counseling sessions with drivers and crewmembers on infractions and accidents, and completing all necessary paperwork
