DeVivo Companies currently has an opening for a full-time Driver/Porter at our New Britain, CT location. DeVivo Companies delivers comprehensive transportation, fleet, and equipment solutions, serving the Northeast for over a century. Our capabilities span fleet maintenance and repair, school and commercial bus sales and service, truck and trailer equipment—including towing, refrigerated transport, yard trucks, and specialty vehicle builds—as well as a full Parts & Tools operation supporting daily maintenance needs. Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with clean driving record (CDL-A preferred)
- Ability to read and comprehend maps and/or written directions
- Good communication skills with all levels of company, vendors, and customers
- Good organization skills
- Good with numbers and tracking
- Self-motivated that works well independently and with a team
- Must be able to lift 75lbs.
Responsibilities
- Pick up and deliver trucks, buses and trailers
- Deliver products to our customers in a safe, professional and timely manner
- Fill out delivery logs and paperwork completely
- Verify delivery orders match the units scheduled for delivery
- Perform shop/warehouse duties during non-delivery times
- Wash and clean vehicles prior to delivery
