About The Position

Protech Automotive Solutions and its affiliated brands is seeking highly talented, dedicated, and quality-focused teammates to provide top-tier service to customers. The Porter/Driver role is responsible for transporting vehicles, tools, parts, and equipment to necessary locations. This is an entry-level position with an opportunity to grow into other roles within the company. Protech Automotive Solutions has been in business for over 20 years, specializing in a wide range of repairs, including mechanical repair and replacement of suspension, drive modules, and frames, as well as diagnostic opportunities requiring advanced knowledge of computerized vehicle control systems, and soft-touch repair and replacement of delicate vehicle interior trim components. The company offers a fast-paced work environment with challenging advanced skill development, providing its team with the latest computerized diagnostic equipment, factory diagnostic and programming software components, and tools. Requirements

  • Desire to learn a skilled trade
  • High school diploma or tech school graduate
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Knowledge and ability to use computers, mobile devices, and related technology efficiently
  • Self-motivated, positive attitude, with a customer focused vision
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to pass MVR check
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Must be able to lift 60 pounds independently
  • Travel may be required for continuing education and certification training
  • Requires standing for extended periods of time with frequent stretching, reaching, walking, and stooping
  • Requires frequent driving of company and customer vehicles
  • Extensive travel within assigned area is expected
  • May have exposure to fumes, dust, and chemicals
  • Ability to work in a shop environment in inclement weather
  • Required to wear PPE to include but not limited to facial covering, eye protection, gloves
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. with no restrictions

Responsibilities

  • Customer service oriented
  • Communicate with field team to ensure efficiency and productivity
  • Test drive vehicles after repair and/or ADAS calibrations
  • Transport vehicles, tools, and/or customers as needed during repair process
  • Vehicle clean up may be required
  • Perform other duties as assigned by field leadership
