About The Position

The Automotive Porter at Gerber Collision & Glass plays a vital role in maintaining the high standards of the facility and customer service. This position is responsible for ensuring customer vehicles are cleaned both before and after repairs, contributing to the overall quality of service. Additionally, the Porter is tasked with maintaining the cleanliness and organization of both the office and production areas, including daily housekeeping, waste disposal, and proper placement of tools and equipment. The role also involves maintaining the exterior grounds and transporting customer vehicles to other repair locations as needed, ensuring a smooth operational flow and a positive experience for customers.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan
  • Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the office, including daily emptying of garbage cans, cleaning the floors, and dusting the countertops and work area
  • Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the production area, emptying of waste cans, sweeping the floors, disposing of unwanted vehicle parts, and placing tools and equipment in their proper location
  • Maintain parking lots and grounds in a neat and orderly fashion, including shoveling sidewalks when necessary
  • Pre-washes customer vehicles prior to repairs beginning
  • Exterior and interior cleanup of customer vehicles after repairs are complete
  • Transport of customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs
