About The Position

AMERI-CANS is seeking a qualified and motivated Driver Operations Coordinator to support our dynamic field operations team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring our daily routes are executed with excellence, efficiency, and reliability. Reporting directly to the Driver Supervisor, the Driver Operations Coordinator serves as the vital communication and logistics link between Service Technicians (D1–D4) and supervisory leadership.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in field service, logistics, sanitation, or related industries.
  • Strong familiarity with routing, scheduling, or dispatch processes.
  • Valid driver’s license; CDL A/B preferred or willingness to obtain (sponsored by AMERI-CANS).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to support and motivate team members.
  • Competent in using tools like Fleetio, GPS tracking, or service scheduling software.
  • Organized, reliable, flexible and problem-solving mindset and comfort working independently in an office-based role.
  • Comfortable with field work, physical task and working outdoors in all weather.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and the company structure and leadership.
  • Ability to obtain and renew any certificates, licenses, registrations required by law or management for the position.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a lead or coordinator role in a service-based or operational environment.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus.
  • Familiarity with DOT regulations and preventative maintenance systems.
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to identify issues in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Driver Supervisor with daily service route planning, adjustments, and deconfliction.
  • Monitor real-time progress of routes and support drivers with schedule or service-related challenges.
  • Conduct field-level Quality Checks (Q.C.) and document results for review by leadership.
  • Act as a contact for site-level issues or escalation when the Driver Supervisor is unavailable.
  • Communicate operational updates, issues, or concerns to the Driver Supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Ensure accurate and consistent use of Fleetio for all vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance reporting.
  • Help onboard and mentor new drivers (D1–D3), reinforcing AMERI-CANS service standards and safety protocols.
  • Support resupply efforts (water, materials) to enable uninterrupted field service.
  • Maintain familiarity with all equipment and vehicles, with the ability to temporarily cover routes if required.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, professionalism, and teamwork among driver staff.
  • Document management, SOP familiarization and maintain updated as needed to ensure consistency, efficiency and service quality.
  • Communicate updates or changes in procedures to drivers clearly and effectively.
  • Support internal task assignments, tracking, and follow up to ensure the drivers complete all duties as expected.
  • Identify operational gaps and suggest improvements and provided feedback to the Driver Supervisor.
  • Must be able to communicate professionally with other managers and departments to coordinate tasks, report issues and follow up in operational needs when delegated or when driver supervisor is not present.
