About The Position

The Non-CDL Driver is responsible for providing safe, reliable, and courteous transportation services for residents of the senior living community. This role supports residents’ independence and quality of life by transporting them to scheduled appointments, community outings, shopping trips, and other activities. The driver ensures passenger safety, assists residents with boarding and exiting the vehicle when needed, and maintains a positive, respectful experience for all riders.

Requirements

  • High school education required.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic.
  • Must be able to maintain a courteous, friendly, and helpful attitude with the residents always.
  • Must be able to interpret and follow map directions.
  • Driver's License (Required)
  • Passenger Endorsement (Required)
  • Must be CPR, AED and First Aid certified.

Responsibilities

  • Picks up and delivers residents to all scheduled activities and appointments where transportation is needed.
  • Complete a safety check of the applicable vehicle, (i.e., car or bus) before transporting residents to and from scheduled activities and appointments.
  • Accurately records vehicle mileage and resident attendance for all scheduled transportation.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle, inside and out.
  • Transport vehicle(s) to service locations for routine preventive maintenance on vehicle(s) as scheduled by supervisor.
  • Notify supervisor of necessary repairs and vehicle malfunctions.
  • Immediately notifies supervisor of resident concerns, problems, or incidents.
  • Make miscellaneous runs for administration errands as necessary.
  • Maintain all tools, equipment, and supplies in proper condition.
  • Accomplish all work in the order of priority set by supervisor.
  • Attend in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.
  • Must be CPR, AED and First Aid certified.
  • Perform specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
