About The Position

DO & CO is hiring a Non-CDL Driver to join its team in Romulus. The role transports meals, meal carts, and equipment between DO & CO facilities, third-party vendors, and the airport. The driver loads and unloads aircraft, ensures flights are catered correctly, handles airline equipment safely, and maintains vehicles in working condition. The position also requires compliance with food safety, hygiene, and applicable regulations.

Requirements

• Valid chauffeur driver’s license.
• Experience driving box trucks.
• Meet the requirements necessary to obtain an airport ID.
• Pass a criminal background check.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and move products, equipment, and supplies weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to work at heights of up to 20–25 feet.
• Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move intermittently during shifts of 8 or more hours.

Responsibilities

• Transport meals, meal carts, and equipment between DO & CO facilities, third-party vendors, and the airport.
• Load and unload aircraft according to DO & CO and airline regulations, specifications, and equipment-handling requirements.
• Ensure flights are catered correctly.
• Cater to client airlines and handle airline equipment safely and expeditiously.
• Keep vehicles in full working condition, including fueling and completing pre- and post-trip checks, and report irregularities to dispatch immediately.
• Comply with food safety and hygiene regulations and all applicable rules and regulations.
• Communicate effectively with team members and ensure communication is clear and understood by coworkers.
