About The Position

Ryder is hiring a Non-CDL Yard Driver in Wilmington, IL — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about. Ryder Employees who Drive on this account earn $980 or more Weekly and it gets better. Ryder Drivers are Paid Weekly. Hourly Pay: $24.50 Per Hour. Hours Per Week: 40 or more hours per week. Paid Training. Schedule: Wednesday - Saturday. Start Time: 11:00 AM Wednesday, 5:00 AM Thursday - Saturday. Route: Local Home Daily Yard Driver. Tractor Type: Yard Truck. Trailer Type: 53' Containers. Equipment: Electric Pallet Jack. Ryder will Train you on all equipment needed to be successful. NON CDL, DOT MEDICAL CARD REQUIRED. Trucks are 36 months or newer, include 24/7 Roadside Maintenance and Company Drivers fuel up the trucks at over 800 Maintenance Facilities Nationwide.

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Must have verifiable driving experience in "like" equipment: 9 Months experience in the past 3 years, OR 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Yard Driver Examination
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
• Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.

Responsibilities

• Primarily responsible for safely handling and maneuvering tractor trailers on the yard, but cannot drive on public roads
• The position requires compliance with safety & DOT Regulations, continuous training and customer service
• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
• Maintaining accurate records and logs
• Maintaining accurate move and yard inventory records
• Other tasks as assigned
