About The Position

Ryder is hiring a Part Time NON CDL Truck Driver in Linthicum Heights MD — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about. Ryder Employees who Drive on this account earn $517 Weekly and it gets better. Ryder Drivers are Paid Weekly. Hourly Pay: $28.59 Per Hour & $5.90/hr Health & Wellness. Hours Per Week: Approx. 15 Hours per week. Paid Training. Schedule: Monday - Friday. Start Time: 4:00 PM. We know choosing a driving career is a big decision. Tractor Type: Straight Truck. Trailer Type: Straight Truck 26'. Equipment: Rolling Racks and Carts. Ryder will Train you on all equipment needed to be successful. Freight: Touch – US Mail. Trucks are 36 months or newer, include 24/7 Roadside Maintenance and Company Drivers fuel up the trucks at over 800 Maintenance Facilities Nationwide. Requirements

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience
  • Pass a Ryder Drug Test
  • Must have verifiable driving experience (must be in like equipment if position being applied for is operating a straight truck or box truck): 6 Months experience in the past 3 years, OR 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
  • Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities

  • This position is primarily responsible for safely driving a vehicle within and requires compliance with safety regulations, continuous training and customer service.
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
  • Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
  • Maintaining accurate records
  • Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
  • Other tasks as assigned
