About The Position

A Driver/Mover with St. Matthew’s House picks up donated items and delivers customer purchases throughout Collier, Lee, and Hendry Counties, loading and unloading trucks throughout day. We operate in a safety-oriented, faith-based team environment that emphasizes organization, teamwork, compassion, efficiency, and excellent customer service.

Requirements

• Valid Florida Driver’s License
• Trustworthy
• Works well in a team environment
• Maintains a neat, professional appearance
• Ability to work safely and co-operatively in a variety of situations with a variety of customers
• Ability to lift and carry more than 75lbs. up and down stairs for extended periods of time
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 2 years trucking, moving, and customer service experience (or related experience) essential.
• Flexibility in work hours; this position requires some overtime.
• Works with confidential information.
• Must pass MVR

Responsibilities

• Picks up donated items and delivers customer purchases throughout Collier, Lee, and Hendry Counties.
• Loads and unloads trucks throughout the day.
• Maintains a high level of customer service, including safety, courtesy, and positive communication.
• Ensures other staff maintain a high level of customer service.
• Handles safely large box trucks and maneuvers in and out of tight areas.
• Works safely and cooperatively in a variety of situations with a variety of customers.
• Lifts and carries more than 75lbs. up and down stairs for extended periods of time.
