Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current IL Driver’s license is required
Nice To Haves
- Ability to drive safely relating to Illinois Traffic Rules and Regulations.
- Employee will need to recognize and respond to the needs and behaviors of patients in a variety of age groups, such as pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain the department vehicles in a dependable, efficient, safe and reliable manner
- Transports patients, employees, mail, specimens and other hospital activities which require driving
- Patrols hospital parking lot when not transporting
- Maintains an acceptable attendance record per hospital policy
- Recognizes and responds to the needs and behaviors of patients in a variety of age groups, such as neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric. (Example: Understand normal patterns of behavior
- Assist patients to and from the Motor Transportation vehicle
- Ability to know the city streets regarding directions and landmarks.
