About The Position
Freedom Behavioral Hospital of Monroe has immediate openings for a driver! Previous experience caring for adult and geriatric is essential. If you have the heart for caring for individuals this is the place to be! All Applicants selected for employment will be required to undergo a post-offer drug test and federal background investigation.
Requirements
- A valid drivers license
- Clear MVR record
- 25 years of age or older
- Must be able to perform physical demands and essential functions of the position.
Nice To Haves
- CNA or Direct Service Worker experience preferred
- Previous experience caring for adult and geriatric is essential.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the physical, psychological, emotional, and well-being of each person served.
- Transport to and from therapy, activities, assisting with ADL’s, meals, assisting with patient hygiene, room cleanliness and other patient care activities as assigned.
- Monitor therapy groups under the direct supervision of Licensed/Certified professionals.
- Contribute to patient records by collecting and documenting data relative to patient.
- Perform a variety of clinical and patient care duties under the direction of a licensed nurse.
- Perform routine patient care and related duties, including laundry of patients clothing and cleaning of equipment.
- Provide patient transportation – position requires local, rural and highway driving
- Accurately complete transportation documents/checklists.
- Assists patient in and out of vehicle.
- Promotes and practices patient safety, infection control and proper body mechanics.
- Maintains vehicle safety and maintenance-maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming vehicle.
