About The Position

Gemma Services is currently seeking a Driver-Mental Health Worker for its Children's Psychiatric Residential Treatment Program. This role is responsible for providing safe and secure transportation for children and families to various appointments and destinations within the community. Additionally, the Driver-Mental Health Worker will provide direct care services to children on the units, ensuring their well-being and support. The position requires coordination with internal departments and external divisions, timely communication, and adherence to organizational policies and procedures. The role also involves managing emails, monitoring notifications on electronic health records and Gemma Services platforms, disseminating information, organizing tasks, and maintaining documentation for accountability. Collaboration and support for team members are essential, as is participation in meetings and discussions. The position may involve performing supportive tasks that can be altered based on individual circumstances.

Requirements

  • High School diploma required.
  • Driving/criminal record must meet current insurance company/Commonwealth guidelines and regulations.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of related experience normally required.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides transportation for children and families to various appointments and destinations throughout the community in a safe and secure manner.
  • Provides services as a Mental Health Worker for the children serviced by Gemma Services.
  • Regularly checks and responds to emails in a timely manner.
  • Stays updated on notifications across electronic health record, and Gemma Services platforms for important messages and alerts.
  • Shares relevant updates and communicates with team members to ensure everyone is informed and aligned.
  • Priorities and organizes tasks based on deadlines, responsibilities, and communication.
  • Maintains records of all required documentation for reference and accountability.
  • Facilitates communication between departments and colleagues, participates in meetings or discussions as needed.
  • Performs tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or re-designed depending upon individual circumstances.
