About The Position

This position serves as a lead worker over driver license examiners and/or clerical employees at one or multiple driver examining stations. The role directs all routine operations of the station during business hours, leads lower-level staff in daily duties, provides training and guidance to new examiners and clerks, and assists examiners with understanding test processes to properly communicate test results and reasoning for grading. The position also involves completing training and observation reports, checking test appointment schedules for fairness and maximum assignments, and resolving disputes between applicants/public and station employees.

Requirements

Formal education in arithmetic that includes calculating fractions, decimals & percentages & in reading, writing & speaking English
24 mos. trg. or 24 mos. exp. in laws & signs applicable for operation of all types of motorized vehicles & Bureau of Motor Vehicles' rules, policies & procedures governing testing for & issuance of licenses
Valid Ohio Class 'D' Driver license
24 mos. exp. as Driver License Examiner 1, 24331
Valid Ohio Class 'D' Driver License

Responsibilities
