About The Position

Cox Fleet is a leading provider of on-site mobile maintenance and repair services nationwide for light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks and trailers. They also operate over 50 nationwide service centers offering accident repair, painting, refurbishment, and heavy mechanical repair. Supported by a 24/7 in-house call center, Cox Fleet provides scheduled and unscheduled maintenance services. The company is currently hiring a CDL A Driver to join their Shop Team to support future growth.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (or equivalent combination of education/experience).
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Valid state-of-residence CDL-A driver’s license.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain their Driver Qualification File.
  • Between 1 and 3 years of CDL driving experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and maneuver heavy equipment.
  • Ability to read/follow maps, routes, and GPS system.
  • Experience demonstrating the ability to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Dependable, organized, and committed.
  • Positive attitude, good instincts, and self-motivation.
  • Familiarity with the local geography.
  • High energy, a positive attitude, adaptability, and strong work ethic.
  • Resourceful and motivated.

Responsibilities

  • Shuttle commercial vehicles to be repaired or post repairs between the maintenance shop and customers in the surrounding area, ensuring drivers are home every evening.
  • Pick up and deliver parts from local parts stores/distribution centers back to the maintenance shop.
  • Provide excellent customer service by exceeding customer expectations.
  • Contribute to the achievement of Maintenance Shop department goals and objectives.
  • Make parts runs to parts stores and deliver to shops and mobile techs.
  • Assist with maintaining parts shelves for the technicians.
  • Assist with shop cleanliness.
  • Pick up customer trailers with the company tractor and deliver to the shop and other yards.
  • Pick up and deliver customer trucks.
  • Maintain a safe and compliant working environment.
  • Attend management meetings when requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet business requirements.
