About The Position

Waste Connections is looking for a safety conscience Driver Helper to join our growing team in Olive Branch, MS. This role involves operating on and around a garbage truck on specified routes to collect solid waste, reading route sheets, and servicing each customer. The job is physically demanding, requiring loading and unloading of refuse and disposal at designated facilities. The position also involves courteous interaction with customers and performing other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. A typical schedule is Monday-Friday, with occasional Saturdays, and a work week of 50+ hours.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English.
• Ability to perform physical duties of the position.
• Ability to safely operate on and around a garbage truck on specified routes to collect solid waste.
• Ability to read route sheets and service each customer identified on the sheet or assigned by the dispatcher.
• Ability to perform a physically demanding job, loading and unloading.
• Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift/load refuse and dispose of trash at designated facilities.
• Courteous interaction with our customers and perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
