About The Position

Royal Waste Services is looking for a safety-conscious Driver Helper to join their Queens team. This role supports garbage truck operations by manually collecting solid waste along designated routes and transporting materials to appropriate disposal sites. The job involves riding along with the driver, assisting with customer service, loading refuse bags, and bringing containers to the truck. It also includes directing the driver during backing maneuvers, assisting with basic vehicle maintenance, operating packing mechanisms, cleaning the truck, and delivering positive customer service interactions. Other job-related duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• CDL Permit Required
• Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the day
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions

Responsibilities

• Ride along with the driver to assist with customer service
• Load refuse bags and bring containers to the truck for proper disposal
• Direct the driver when backing the vehicle
• Assist with basic vehicle maintenance
• Operate packing mechanisms and levers to activate the loading arm
• Clean the packer blade and truck body
• Deliver positive customer service interactions
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned
