About The Position

School Food Delivery Driver – Help Fuel Young Minds! This is a full-time non-exempt position. Hours are aligned with the school district’s food service delivery schedule. The role plays a vital role in ensuring students receive the meals they need to learn and thrive. The company believes every meal matters—and so does every delivery. As part of our school nutrition team, you’ll be helping ensure that students across the district get the meals they need, right on time. If you're dependable, safety-conscious, and ready to make a difference behind the wheel, we want you on our team!

Requirements

  • A clean, valid driver’s license and a safe driving record
  • Dependability and strong attention to detail
  • Comfort with lifting and moving supplies
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to follow safety guidelines
  • Professionalism when interacting at school sites
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; must complete all Whitsons and government-mandated training as required.
  • Minimum 1 year of professional driving experience required
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English sufficient to understand route instructions, complete required logs and reports, and communicate with school and office staff.
  • Must adhere to all motor vehicle laws and regulations at all times; always presents a professional image and follows all Whitsons policies and procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • Food service or delivery driving experience preferred.
  • ServSafe certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Safely drive a company vehicle to deliver food and supplies between schools in the district
  • Load and unload products with care, ensuring proper storage and delivery
  • Perform daily vehicle inspections and keep accurate logs and reports
  • Keep the delivery vehicle clean and in excellent working condition
  • Communicate with the central office as needed to ensure timely, accurate deliveries
  • Follow all local driving laws and school district policies
  • Operates the company vehicle safely and in full compliance with all motor vehicle laws, school district delivery policies, and Whitsons fleet protocols at all times.
  • Completes all assigned deliveries accurately and on schedule; maintains consistent attendance, follows assigned routes, and meets all reporting and documentation requirements every shift.
  • Ensures product is correctly loaded, transported, and delivered; completes vehicle logs, odometer records, and delivery receipts with accuracy.
  • Represents Whitsons positively at all school locations; follows all district-specific delivery protocols and maintains a clean, well-kept vehicle and professional appearance at all times.
