About The Position

School Food Delivery Driver – Help Fuel Young Minds! This role is Monday–Friday, with no nights or weekends. The Delivery Driver will play a vital role in ensuring students receive the meals they need to learn and thrive by driving a company vehicle to deliver food and supplies between schools in the district. Responsibilities include loading and unloading products with care, performing daily vehicle inspections, keeping accurate logs, maintaining the cleanliness and working condition of the delivery vehicle, and communicating with the central office as needed. The role requires following all local driving laws and school district policies. The company, Whitsons, believes every meal matters and so does every delivery. As part of the school nutrition team, the driver will help ensure students get their meals on time. This is a mission-driven role for dependable, safety-conscious individuals.

Requirements

A clean, valid driver’s license and a safe driving record
Dependability and strong attention to detail
Comfort with lifting and carrying supplies
A proactive attitude and willingness to follow safety guidelines
Professionalism when interacting at school sites
High School diploma required
Clean unblemished drivers license required
ServSafe certification
Speak, read and write in English required
1 year driving in professional role required

Responsibilities

Safely drive a company vehicle to deliver food and supplies between schools in the district
Load and unload products with care, ensuring proper storage and delivery
Perform daily vehicle inspections and keep accurate logs and reports
Keep the delivery vehicle clean and in excellent working condition
Communicate with the central office as needed to ensure timely, accurate deliveries
Follow all local driving laws and school district policies
