About The Position

Tessera is seeking a hard-working Driver Courier/General Laborer. The Driver Courier/General Laborer will support operational readiness by safely transporting and delivering equipment, materials, documents, mail, and laboratory samples, while also performing general labor duties including material handling, workspace maintenance, and supply support in accordance with established procedures and security requirements.

Requirements

• Highschool Diploma/GED is required.
• 0-3 years' experience in vehicle operations.
• A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
• Access to a federal military installation requires a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or an acceptable alternative, such as a U.S. passport or military ID, in accordance with the REAL ID Act.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access.
• A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.
• No employee or representative of the Contractor will be admitted to the site of work unless satisfactory proof of U.S. citizenship is furnished.

Responsibilities

• Operates an automobile or light truck to perform scheduled and on-demand deliveries.
• Picks up and delivers materials, documents, mail, and laboratory samples.
• Maintains chain-of-custody documentation, including obtaining signatures and recording transfers.
• Ensures the security and integrity of items during transport.
• Maintains delivery logs, manifests, and required records.
• Performs routine errands such as mail pickup and distribution.
• Delivers items to offices and departments within an establishment.
• Follows all safety, traffic, and organizational procedures.
• Reports incidents, spills, deviations, or chain-of-custody concerns immediately.
• Loads, unloads, and moves materials, supplies, and equipment.
• Cleans and maintains work areas, including wash racks and related facilities.
• Stocks and replenishes consumable materials at designated points of use.
• Follows all safety procedures and instructions.
• Maintains housekeeping standards to prevent spills, cross-contamination, or unsafe conditions.
• All Other Duties as Assigned.
