About The Position

Plaza Tire Service is hiring a Driver with a Class E license for its Warehouse/Distribution Center in Searcy, Arkansas. The role supports inventory needs for store locations and wholesale customers by driving deliveries. When not on the road, the Driver works in the warehouse to help prepare shipments. Plaza Tire Service is willing to train the right person. Compensation is $19 per hour.

The work environment may include moderate to loud noise, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, petroleum products, vapors, caustic materials, and other hazardous or non-hazardous materials. Temperatures vary with outdoor conditions and may include extreme heat or cold. Safety goggles or other personal protective equipment may be required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a Class E endorsement.
• Ability to drive a vehicle with a manual (standard) transmission.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Reliable transportation.
• Approved driving record.
• Ability to work a minimum of five days, including Saturdays.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 75 pounds.
• Ability to stand for up to eight hours per day and walk around the building.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch regularly; full range of motion in arms and hands; ability to feel, handle, or finger objects frequently.
• Ability to communicate with customers and shop personnel.
• Vision sufficient to detect color and depth and to refocus.

Responsibilities

• Drive a vehicle with a manual transmission to support store locations and wholesale customers.
• Help prepare shipments in the warehouse when not on the road.
• Communicate with customers and shop personnel.
• Stand for up to eight hours per day and walk to access different areas of the building.
• Bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and handle objects as needed throughout the day.
• Lift and move items as required, including up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 70 pounds frequently.
