Requirements

6 months of Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) class A experience
A current valid CDL class A
A GXO employee for 2 years

Nice To Haves

1 million accident free miles
5 years of Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) class A experience
Experience moving multiple types of trailers (tanks, vans, flatbeds)
Any added endorsements (Hazmat, doubles, TWIC card)

Responsibilities

Travel across the country to help cover sites for vacations, be part of the launch team for new site start-ups, work at a different place every week or help support the site you originally come from in revenue generation or expense control.
Drive a tractor in and around the site or on public roads, moving multiple styles of trailers
Inspect tractor/yard truck before and after the shift
Maneuver tractor/trailer safely throughout the facility within the designated lanes and areas
Maintain housekeeping within assigned tractor/trailer and defined areas
Inspect trailers to be moved to verify condition
Work safely and adhere to all safety policies and practices
Perform driver ride-along reviews, conduct road tests, do site audits and more
