About The Position
GXO Logistics, a global contract logistics company, is seeking talented individuals to join their team as CDL Drivers. This traveling position offers the opportunity to drive company equipment and contribute to the company's success. Drivers will travel across the country to cover sites for vacations, be part of new site launch teams, work at different locations weekly, or support their original site in revenue generation or expense control. GXO emphasizes a professional environment where opinions matter and safety is paramount.
Requirements
- 6 months of Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) class A experience
- A current valid CDL class A
Nice To Haves
- 1 million accident free miles
- 5 years of Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) class A experience
- Experience moving multiple types of trailers (tanks, vans, flatbeds)
- Any added endorsements (Hazmat, doubles, TWIC card)
Responsibilities
- Drive a tractor in and around the site or on public roads, moving multiple styles of trailers
- Inspect tractor/yard truck before and after the shift
- Maneuver tractor/trailer safely throughout the facility within the designated lanes and areas
- Maintain housekeeping within assigned tractor/trailer and defined areas
- Inspect trailers to be moved to verify condition
- Work safely and adhere to all safety policies and practices
- Perform driver ride-along reviews, conduct road tests, do site audits and more
