About The Position

Cando is expanding in the US and is looking for a Driver with a CDL A Hazmat license to join their team. This role involves safely and efficiently transporting products to and from locations year-round, partnering with dispatch for hazmat and non-hazmat liquid and dry freight. The position requires assisting with other necessary tasks to meet customer expectations, reporting maintenance issues, and taking an active role in the safety program. Driving is expected to be between 10 to 12 hours per day with flexible start and end times.

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A license
• 2 years of driving experience utilizing Hazmat & Tanker Endorsement required
• Stable work history, please include a 10-year work history on the application
• Successfully pass road test, which will include a proper pre- and post-trip inspection of the vehicle
• Qualify for a Passport and TWIC card
• Climb into and out of the cab multiple times per shift
• Lift up to 50 pounds while connecting hoses to trailers
• Wear a chemical suit and other PPE while unloading hazardous materials in all types of weather
• Read, write, speak, and understand English

Responsibilities

• Assist the operation with other tasks deemed necessary to meet customer expectations
• Report maintenance issues to Dispatch
• Take an active role in our safety program including attendance at all safety meetings and ensuring safe behaviors of self and others
