About The Position

The Driver Assistant is a supportive member of the Delivery team, responsible for loading and unloading delivery trucks, maintaining product organization, and adhering to food safety principles. This role requires maintaining high professional uniform and personal hygiene standards. The assistant will inspect fruits and snacks for quality, report issues to the Driver or manager, and assist in bringing equipment and coolers to the truck to expedite the loading procedure. There will be times when loading various routes is required. The role involves close collaboration with the Dispatch Supervisor and may include accompanying drivers on route deliveries, ensuring order accuracy and product quality, and engaging with school and other representatives with excellent customer service. The Driver Assistant will also manage packing slips, delivery processes, and ensure customers sign for deliveries, noting any discrepancies. Problem-solving and promoting Revolution Foods' Core Values and mission are encouraged. Safe working practices, including the use of equipment like pallet jacks and adherence to vehicle safety precautions and PPE, are mandatory. The role also includes routine administrative tasks and other duties as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year experience working in a food service environment with customer contact.
• Experience working in a warehouse environment loading and unloading product.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
• Able to work an early morning flexible schedule and cover varied shifts.
• Must possess a positive and professional attitude and image.
• Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter who can common routines.
• Ability to move, lift and carry products up to 50 pounds.
• Able to work as a team and individually to accomplish the work.
• Knowledge of basic food handling requirements.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload delivery trucks.
• Maintain product organization and adhere to food safety principles.
• Inspect fruits and snacks for quality and report issues.
• Assist in bringing equipment and coolers to the truck to expedite loading.
• Accompany drivers on route deliveries, loading and unloading products and meals.
• Ensure customer orders match product deliveries for accuracy and quality.
• Engage with school and other representatives, demonstrating excellent customer service.
• Maintain a positive disposition and conduct oneself respectfully and politely.
• Spot check product upon delivery and unloading to ensure quality.
• Pack and load products onto trucks according to company specifications.
• Unload trucks to meet customer/school program needs.
• Adhere to proper food handling requirements and temperature checks of chilled products.
• Maintain good communication with co-workers and team members.
• Manage packing slips and delivery process, obtaining customer signatures and noting rejections or shortages.

• Follow safe working practices for loading and unloading, using equipment such as pallet jacks, dock plates, wheel chalks, and straps.
• Keep the truck interior and exterior organized, clean, and sanitary.
• Ensure proper care of equipment used to move or secure product inventory.
• Follow all required safe work and food safety practices, including vehicle safety precautions and wearing required PPE.
• Correct and/or report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately.
• Complete routine administrative tasks associated with the work.
• Perform other duties as needed.
