About The Position

Neapco is seeking a Driveline Assembler at its facility in Belleville, Michigan. The position reports to the Production Supervisor. The assembler works at floor stations, operates machinery used in production with aluminum and steel parts, and assembles and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications. The role requires alignment with Neapco’s core values and sustainability and corporate social responsibility goals.

Requirements

Ability to communicate and follow instructions regarding daily job assignments.
Contribute to ongoing 5-S efficiencies and communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers about work assignments, production problems or issues, and training on new processes.
Ability to work with minimal supervision after training is complete.
Attention to quality and detail orientation.
Ability to perform basic calculations and measurements.
Ability to read and follow written and verbal work instructions and safety rules.
Reliable attendance and flexibility to work overtime as needed.
Ability to multitask and work as part of a team.
Ability to work with and/or around heavy machinery, equipment, and powered industrial trucks (hi-lo).
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
Ability to stand, walk, and lift for 8–12 hours per day.
High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

Perform production tasks according to standard operating procedures and manufacturing work instructions.
Complete tasks safely and efficiently while maintaining a high level of quality.
Produce quality products at expected rates while minimizing scrap and downtime.
Complete productivity and quality records as required by supervisors and work stations.
Keep work areas clean and organized.
Follow company rules, policies, and safety rules; immediately report safety hazards and incidents.
Guide, assist, or train other associates in their assigned duties when needed.
Participate in continuous improvement activities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
