Drilling Apprentice w/CDL - Somersworth
About The Position
Seaboard Drilling, LLC is accepting applications for an immediate opening for a Drilling Apprentice with a CDL to be based in their Somersworth, NH office. This is a full-time position, primarily Monday-Friday, where the candidate will work as a Drilling Assistant to support the operation of a test boring rig with an experienced Driller. Tasks include safely assisting the driller with all aspects of drill rig operation and maintenance, including soil boring and sampling, rock coring, measuring water levels, installing monitoring wells, installation of instrumentation, carrying and handling tooling, and operation and basic maintenance of heavy equipment including drill rigs, medium duty trucks, trailers, and ATVs. The position will require regular travel to short-term work sites throughout New England, with regular overnight stays on weekdays. Occasional night work may be required.
Requirements
- Must possess a CDL-A/Class A driver license
- Familiarity working with and around heavy equipment and operations
- Ability to lift and carry heavy tooling and supplies up to 100 pounds
- Ability to work outdoors in all seasons, temperatures, and conditions
- Willingness to travel regularly to short-term work sites throughout New England
- Willingness for regular overnight stays on weekdays
- Willingness for occasional night work
