About The Position

We are hiring an experienced Driller to lead a 3–5 person rig crew in Colby, Kansas. This is a hands-on position for someone with oilfield experience, a strong work ethic, and the ability to safely lead a crew.

Requirements

• Previous oilfield or drilling experience.
• Strong leadership skills and work ethic.
• Basic mechanical and troubleshooting knowledge.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must be able to work 12-hour shifts and overtime as needed.
• Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs. and perform physically demanding work.
• Must pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and background check.
• Previous drilling experience on a Kelly Drive Rig is required.

Nice To Haves

• CDL preferred.
• Clean driving record preferred.
• 3+ years of drilling rig experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a 3–5 person rig crew.
• Operate drilling rig equipment and drawworks.
• Oversee rig-up, rig-down, and daily drilling operations.
• Direct Floorhands and Derrickhands.
• Conduct safety meetings and ensure safe work practices.
• Monitor equipment, downhole conditions, and well pressures.
• Assist with equipment troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance.
• Maintain a safe and organized rig site.
• Complete required operating reports.
