Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace or Materials Engineering from an ABET accredited university
  • Self-starter with strong leadership, communication skills and demonstrated problem-solving ability
  • Proficient in MS-Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in body exterior systems and wipers systems
  • Experience with Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R)
  • Knowledgeable in NX and TC release experience
  • Body systems in-plant launch experience
  • Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) green / black-belt
  • Shainin/ Kepner-Tregoe reactive problem solving
  • Experience with Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA)

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the engineering, design, development, timing and validation of wipers and washing systems components (e.g. wiper modules, washer bottles, hoses and nozzles).
  • Analyzing the design to ensure it meets requirements.
  • Working with the extended vehicle team for production implementation and competitive benchmarking.
  • Executing component standardization and reuse, DVP, best practices and lessons learned.
  • Maintaining functional objectives, DFMEA's, DVPR's and standards.
  • Supporting meetings throughout NA work hours.
  • Working closely with local engineering teams, Architecture/Vehicle Concepts, program science teams & PDO with iterative models to align with all packaging, functional objectives and system requirements.
