About The Position

The Drawing Operator role is responsible for learning product specifications, proper placement of cans, yarn weights, and bag colors. They must understand the significance of band colors, differentiate fibers, and maintain housekeeping in their assigned area. This position operates within a manufacturing environment and requires the use of specialized lab equipment and standard office equipment. The candidate will be frequently exposed to noise, dust, various chemicals, and moving mechanical parts, necessitating the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, hearing protection, and non-skid shoes. The role also involves adhering to strict punctuality and safety protocols, including attending pre-shift safety meetings and wearing assigned PPE.

  • Ability to understand the significance of band colors and differentiate fibers.
  • Ability to maintain housekeeping in the prescribed area.
  • Ability to arrive early enough to store all personal items in their assigned locker.
  • Ability to punch in no earlier than 15 minutes prior to the beginning of their assigned shift and no later than 5 minutes prior to the beginning of their assigned shift and punch out no earlier than the shift will end.
  • Ability to attend the pre-shift safety meeting scheduled to start 5 minutes prior to the beginning of their assigned shift.
  • Ability to wear their assigned PPE in the designated areas and when performing specific tasks throughout the shift.
  • Ability to follow all safety rules to ensure the safety of yourself and those around you.
  • Ability to report to their assigned work area and begin work immediately following the pre-shift safety/information meeting.
  • Ability to continue to work in their assigned work area until relieved by the associate from the following shift assigned to their job.
  • Regularly required to talk, sit, walk, stand, and hear.
  • May be required to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch.
  • Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must have 20/20 vision or corrected 20/20 vision.
