About The Position

Our vital and growing firm has an opportunity for an experienced drain technician dispatcher. Using their experience and expertise, along with our in-house resources and processes, they will optimize the use of our drain technicians and satisfy the needs of our numerous customers. Balkan Sewer and Water Main Service has a large team of drain technicians and is also NYC’s largest house sewer and water service line contractor. Our drain cleaning company operates 7 days a week and 16 hours per day. The Balkan Team has been in continuous operation for over 70 years and has a pristine reputation in the NYC plumbing industry.

Requirements

  • A documented and verifiable resume of experience in the above role.
  • Able to lead by example, exhibiting understanding, knowledge, and professionalism.
  • Able to think both strategically and execute against day-to-day objectives
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to organize, assemble, and arrange resources to meet goals
  • Able to maintain composure during stressful situations, remaining focused on the ultimate objective
  • Strong interpersonal skills to support interaction and development of relationships with a wide range of internal and external customers
  • Capacity to work independently as well as within a team-oriented and collaborative environment
  • Minimum five years of management experience

Responsibilities

  • Perform in all aspects of dispatch and supervisor work, including but not limited to: Analyze the requests for service, dispatch, and supervise the team of drain technicians
  • Manage all service job metrics; meeting the required response time, proper completion of each call, and confirming customer satisfaction.
  • Coach and motivate technicians to work at their maximum productivity; coach, train and develop technicians to increase work and sales skills
  • Resolve conflicts or miscommunications quickly and amicably.
  • Using in-house software, document team productivity and results.
  • Perform mid-year and annual performance evaluations
  • Be present for, and sometimes lead, management and team meetings.
