About The Position

Plumbing Systems Inc. (PSI) is an established company with over 30 years of experience providing top-tier service and quality products in many areas around the Vail Valley and Summit County area. PSI, Inc. is looking for a Drain Technician to diagnose and repair residential drain systems, proposing sewer repairs and replacement as appropriate. This person will lead clients to informed and confident solutions. This is a full-time role that will report into the Service Manager and be based out of our growing Gypsum, CO office.

Requirements

  • Must know how to run a Jetter machine
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must consider safety one’s primary job and must have general knowledge of safe working practices and OSHA requirements
  • To adequately perform the duties of this job the team member is regularly and routinely required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, use hands to handle controls, hear, and talk
  • Must be able to climb ladders, work in hot and cold environments, and work in small crawl spaces
  • The ability to regularly lift and/or move 50+ lbs is required
  • The work environment can vary depending on the season and scope of work – employees are required to work outdoors throughout the seasons

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years experience in the plumbing industry a plus

Responsibilities

  • Complete all drain cleaning/clearing, cable work, and service to drains
  • Recommend or perform camera service when necessary
  • Establish client rapport to provide the proper options for the best solutions
  • Educate and assist clients on the importance of sewer repair and replacement
  • Understand your service criteria and hold yourself accountable for exceeding goals
  • Participate actively in all training exercises and meetings
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with dispatch and your supervisor
  • Keep a clean and organized work space (trucks and in client homes) well stocked
  • Work with a Jetter machine
  • Complete timely and accurate paperwork: invoices, time cards, options, forms
  • Participate in the on call schedule
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance
  • Have or be willing to get proper certifications when necessary
