About The Position

Join our dynamic and collaborative team where you’ll be responsible for producing detailed shop drawings, material take-offs, and fabrication drawings for commercial curtain wall and fenestration projects.

Requirements

• 3-5 years’ experience in similar capacity
• Must be proficient in AutoCAD.
• Curtain wall design experience is advantageous.
• Ability to read architectural drawing, structural drawings and blueprints.
• Solid Microsoft Office skills including but not limited to MS Word, MS Outlook, advanced knowledge of MS Excel, and Internet software.
• Ability to work with deadlines in a fast-paced work environment, independently and as part of a team, a multi-tasker who can prioritize when under pressure.
• High level of accuracy is essential with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills
• Resourceful, enthusiastic and results oriented.

Nice To Haves

• Preferred Architectural Technologist Mechanical Engineering Diploma
• Revit and/or Inventor experience would be a plus, but is not required.

Responsibilities

• Creates accurate and professional working shop drawings consisting of system details, floor plans, elevations with assistance and direction from Drafting Supervisor / Managers using AutoCAD Software.
• Produces Material Procurement forms for aluminum, glass, pvc, gaskets and hardware using databased programs such as Excel, Google sheets and various optimizing programs.
• Produces Project specific fabrication drawings for frame assemblies, subcomponents and various infills using AutoDesk 3D Modeling programs.
• Produces crate and frame tracking sheets and a bill of materials as prepared in Excel or Google docs.
• Participates in project engineering team meetings.
• Provides assistance and information to other project team members (field, project management, fabricators, suppliers, etc.) as required.
