About The Position

Benedettini Cabinetry is seeking a Draftsman to interpret architectural and hand-drawn plans, draft production shop drawings, assemble submittal packages, and coordinate with project salesmen to successfully complete assignments. The role involves creating and modifying drawings in Cabinet Vision Solid for customer presentations, running reports, reviewing drawings to Benedettini standards, and developing the construction of custom cabinets. The Draftsman will also be responsible for managing multiple jobs at various stages, interpreting salesman drawings, placing CAD notes, evaluating accessory placement, and producing construction and elevation copies. Additionally, the position requires working with the estimating department on builder floor plans and adhering to all safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

Equivalent of a High School Diploma or G.E.D. certification.
Minimum of 6 months of AutoCAD courses.
Associate's degree or completion of a technical trade school in CAD, drafting, or related field.
Must be able to pass company Drug Screen and background screen.
Ability to operate Cabinet Vision Software, Insight, Microsoft.
Ability to manage multiple jobs at various stages in the process.
Ability to interpret salesman initial and revised drawings and translate information appropriately to Cabinet Vision Software.
Ability to meet department quality and production standards.
Excellent organization and time management skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet daily assignment deadlines.
Follows through and does what he/she says he/she will do.
Shows up for work on time and adheres to the established work schedule.

Responsibilities

Interpreting architectural and hand-drawn plans.
Drafting production shop drawings.
Putting together submittal packages.
Coordinating with project salesmen.
Creating and modifying drawings in Cabinet Vision Solid for customer presentations.
Running various reports and reviewing drawings to Benedettini standards.
Developing the construction of custom cabinets.
Producing a minimum of 120 boxes per day.
Maintaining a draftsman error rate below 2%.
Managing multiple jobs at various stages in the process.
Interpreting salesman initial and revised drawings and translating information appropriately to Cabinet Vision Software.
Placing correct CAD notes to transfer information through various shop departments.
Evaluating accessories placement for proper fit and operation.
Completing drafting check lists.
Communicating with the engineering department to produce accurate parts or custom cabinets.
Emailing and calling salesmen respectfully to resolve issues.
Producing construction and elevation copies for each job and uploading the information to Insight.
Working with the estimating department in developing cabinet floor plans for builders.
Following all safety policies and procedures.
Performing other job-related duties as assigned.
